“Invited guests”

In the past, there were usually two “kinds” of guests at the wedding.
Those who are invited to the ceremony and the apéro (yes, that’s what cocktail hours are called in Switzerland), and those who are allowed to stay for the dinner.

At Destination Weddings there are no “part-time” wedding guests. If you say “yes” at home, there are people whom you would like to invite to a cocktail, but not to the dinner.

An ideal moment to sensitize all readers again to the costs.
A bridal couple must calculate with approx. CHF 150 per guest for food and wine, here the famous 3 Gin Tonic are not yet included.

So anyone who has aperitif guests in addition to the “invited” guests should definitely consider when the most elegant moment is to say goodbye to these guests.
By saying goodbye, I don’t mean that you shake hands with everyone, but there is certainly room for a hearty wave on the most beautiful day.

Unfortunately, I don’t know whether there is also the formulation of the “invited” guests in Germany or Austria. 😉

If someone knows what the counterpart to “invited guests” is, please contact me, after all, all wedding guests are invited, no matter how long they are allowed to stay.

Warmly,
Evelyne Schärer
